Altimetrik’s Sujatha Rajesh Talks Client Success & Social Responsibility

Sujatha Rajesh smiles in between the Collider Team, Jacob and Rhyan.

In a recent conversation with the Altimetrik Collider team, hosts Rhyan Robinson and Jacob Smith spoke with Sujatha Rajesh, a senior client partner at Altimetrik, about the company's biggest differentiator: its personal touch.

Sujatha, a member of Altimetrik’s Asia-Pacific business team, has over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience helping small and medium companies expand globally. Her expertise in digital marketing, website development, and database management supports fintech and retail companies in scaling their businesses.

In this interview, Sujatha shares how good business outcomes don’t just start with client relationships; they also occur by investing in company culture and personal growth.

Altimetrik Sets Itself Apart

Though there are many services on the market that offer digital transformation solutions for businesses, often these initiatives focus solely on software to digitize existing business operations. In contrast, Altimetrik operates under a digital business methodology (DBM), which focuses on resolving business needs prior to transformation.

“At Altimetrik, we have always invested in our partnerships,” says Sujatha. “Bringing in senior engineering talent to oversee our work ensures that we provide not just technical solutions but also thought leadership.”

An important cornerstone of this thought leadership approach is design thinking – a non-linear, iterative method that teams use to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems, and create innovative solutions to prototype and test.

“We bring in design thinking and assess our client's current levels of maturity, says Sujatha. “This is often the turning point where clients recognize Altimetrik as a strategic partner.”

Design thinking, though often a component of software development, puts the business before the code, notes Sujatha. Unlike typical software development cycles which focus on deliverables, Altimetrik prioritizes the benefits and outcomes for its clients.

"How does it help reach their end-business goals?" asks Sujatha. “That’s the question that guides our iterative, measurable approach, which is the hallmark of Altimetrik's offerings.”

Solving complex business problems requires empathy, something that’s critical to Altimetrik’s success.

"We need to live what we talk about, and that is the success of Altimetrik because we bring to the table what the client expects and highlights our commitment to client satisfaction,” says Sujatha.

For Sujatha, Altimetrik’s commitment to its clients means much more than simply being available, it means defining Altimetrik’s success by its client’s success.

Our approach is centered on being invested in the success of our clients' programs, initiatives, and projects,” says Sujatha. “We believe in having open, fearless dialogues to address any challenges. According to our leadership, this is crucial for the success of any client engagement.”

Diverse Expertise and Industry Focus

Though Altimetrik’s roots are deeply embedded in the Fintech space, the company is currently expanding its footprint to include the retail and life sciences sectors. Many of the company’s leaders, who are experts in their field, aren’t just supporting their client’s goals – they’re having disruptive industry conversations.

“They’re shaping ideas, co-creating products, and making sure that the client never loses sight of their business goals as, as an organization, as we drive them towards their business outcomes,” says Sujatha.

Currently, one area of interest is how to take buzzworthy technology like generative AI and leverage it to create tangible business outcomes.

“Altrimetrik has been at the forefront of AI for the last five years,” boasts Sujatha. “We’ve been shaping a lot of thoughts on conversational AI, discriminative AI, and now Gen AI. But the practicality of it all is where Altimetrik stands before everybody else.”

At a time when new generative AI applications are popping up like daisies, boasting ambitious business benefits, Sujatha says Altimetrik remains grounded.

“The way we're looking at Gen AI within Altimetrik is by making sure that every use case that we take to our customer has relevancy, practicality, and can achieve their business goals in a manner in which it touches their customer and their behavior,” says Sujatha.

Empowering Women and Communities

Though many business leaders would be more than satisfied with happy customers and a robust balance sheet, Sujatha is not one to rest on her laurels. In 2021, she helped found the Women’s Initiative for Networking Growth and Success (WINGS) in her native India, which has since become a global initiative.

“We offer several initiatives and programs for women to shape their thoughts, make sure that they have a professional purpose in life, and have defined their mental well-being,” shares Sujatha.

WINGS includes programming aimed at supporting women returning to the workforce and also provides the space to discuss challenges faced by women in business. Essentially, WINGS inspires women to reach higher. Sujatha’s commitment to building community in business doesn’t end there, she also contributes to impACT. impACT is Altimetrik’s local corporate social responsibility initiative in India aimed at woman empowerment, childhood education, and LGBTQIA+ support and allyship.

The goal of these programs isn’t just to offer support and business mentorship to less represented communities, it’s also to weave diversity and inclusivity into the fabric of Altimetrik’s company culture.

“The diversity and the inclusivity that we bring to the work culture at Altimetrik helps sensitize our corporate employees and make them more appreciative and more inclusive with this community at large,” explains Sujatha.
